Hotel, Tour & Transport DiscountsThose coming from the US should fly into San Jose (SJO). Kayak.com is a very helpful online search engine. Feel free to Email us with questions. Flights from many US cities are still around $500. Our local partner for this event is Aventuras Bravas, a Puerto Viejo-based tour operator. The owner of the company is a huge music fan & is very excited to have our group coming to Puerto Viejo. Aventuras Bravas has arranged group discounts for us at many hotels in Puerto Viejo and San Jose. After you've browsed their site, fill out the Tropical Hoedown Request Form so they can book your hotels & tours for you. In addition to hotels, Aventuras Bravas has also arranged fantastic rates for airport transportation, car rental, white water rafting, sea turtle watching, sport fishing, snorkeling, canopy tours, horseback riding, jungle survival, sea/river kayaking trips, surfing lessons, and more!
Contact information: Below are links to a bunch of hotels where we have group discounts. Some hotels don't have websites, so advice from Aventuras Bravas will come in handy...ask them questions! Keep in mind that the Caribbean side of Costa Rica is charmingly rustic & undeveloped. You will not find a Four Seasons here, but there ARE some very nice rooms to be had!
Here are some options for San Jose (you might want to stay over on your way in/out of the country): Hotel Don Carlos, Hampton Inn & Suites, Hotel Santo Tomas, Grand Hotel Costa Rica Costa Rica Info
