Honkytonk Homeslice is pleased to announce a very special tropical-musical adventure: 3 music-filled evenings on the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica!

Wednesday, May 9th - Friday, May 11th

Each night features two big sets from Honkytonk Homeslice & Friends, plus unique opening act combos (such as Sharon Gilchrist/Erik Yates, Drew Emmitt/Tyler Grant, Tim Carbone solo, etc.). The music will kick off at 6pm and wrap up by about 11pm, leaving plenty of time for adventures, relaxation and socializing. Additionally, Billy Nershi will perform a very special solo set at a different, but close by, location to raise funds and awareness for local non-profit social & environmental groups. More details on this will be coming soon.

Below are links to a bunch of hotels where we have group discounts. Some hotels don't have websites, so advice from Aventuras Bravas will come in handy...ask them questions! Keep in mind that the Caribbean side of Costa Rica is charmingly rustic & undeveloped. You will not find a Four Seasons here, but there ARE some very nice rooms to be had!

We strongly recommend that you first browse through the Aventuras Bravas website, since the owner (John Wheatley) is an expatriate American who is a huge music fan, and has been living in Puerto Viejo for several years. Meaning, John understands those of us traveling from outside of Costa Rica, and he understands the local culture. On top of that, we've been working really closely with him to put together this event, so he's in tune with what our event is all about, and he and his staff are ready & waiting to walk you through your vacation planning process!

This is a really cool satellite map website of the Puerto Viejo, Cahuita, Manzanillo, Cocles, Punta Uva, Playa Chiquita area. They've got a large number of local hotels, restuarants & landmarks marked to help you find your way around. This link will open centered on the Hoedown venue, Rocking J's. Zoom out a bit to get an overview of the whole region. Click & drag the map to move around & check out other places. Click on the colored markers to read about the places & get weblinks to the hotel/restaurant/store websites.

This site has lots of information about Costa Rica, and lots of lovely photos. Here's what they say about Puerto Viejo: "Puerto Viejo’s strong power of attraction, the energy of an evergreen jungle, the hypnotic blue sea and the eternal smile in the environment will weave a spider web for the traveler from which it will be hard to escape, and if he or she does it will be thinking of coming back."
